This photograph, belonging to Peter England, shows Albert Blagden and Dorothy Staniforth on their wedding day at Christ Church in Pitsmoor in 1936. Albert was a well known figure in the area where he worked as a chimney sweep, following in the footsteps of his father and brother. For most of their lives together, the couple lived on Nottingham Street. Later, as pensioners, they moved to Firshill.

Albert was Peter's uncle.
