When I was about 14 or 15, I went to live with my grandparents on their farm in Pakistan. My grandmother had heart problems so I went there to help look after her. It was out in the countryside. My grandfather had bought the land when he retired from the Navy and planted lots of different kinds of fruit. It was a lovely place and I became very attached to my grandparents. A few years after I moved to England to get married, my grandfather died and I was given his ring, to remember him by.
