The White House is located at the top of Andover Street. It is possibly the oldest building in Burngreave and may even date back to Tudor times. With its white plastered exterior and unusual shape, it is distinctively different from the other buildings nearby.

According to White's Trade Directory, the building was used as a cab station for horse drawn cabs in 1981. It then became well known for many years as a fish and chip shop. Sadly the shop no longer operates and the building is currently empty.
