Walking down Pitsmoor Rd with AA guns firing around us then up the gennel to the shelters in Pye Bank school. Next morning seeing the devastation over the city.

Going home to find the doors blown down and the windows gone. Followed by the schools Home Service in which my house became part of Pitsmoor School.
