Kelham Makes: Leatherwork Workshop – Make Your Own Keyring

Wed 22 July 2026

Kelham Island Museum

Learn how to cut and prepare leather, smooth and burnish it, and stamp it to create a personalised keyring.

You’ll be guided by expert tutor Laura Hunter of Tiska Leatherwork, who will take you step by step through the process to make a leather keyring to take home as a unique accessory or give as a personalised gift.

Laura Hunter has been a leather worker and leather restorer for over 10 years and combines making with repairing. Her workshop is based in Hayfield, Derbyshire where she designs and makes leather accessories as well as repairing handbags, clothing and leather car interiors.

Please read the cancellation policy here before booking. We are unable to give refunds or tickets transfers with less than 7 days' notice before the session takes place

Everything we do is made possible by you – please donate £5 to help tell stories that connect people with their history, the world around them and each other
