Kelham Makes: Punch Needle Embroidery

Enjoy a special evening workshop where you’ll create a beautiful floral inspired embroidered artwork to hang in your home. 

In this hands-on session, award -inning tufting artist Amber Hessell will guide you in the basics of punch needle embroidery to create your own design in an embroidery hoop, ready to be displayed. You’ll have the opportunity to pick from five different templates and a multitude of colourful threads to produce your bespoke piece. Come along and learn a new craft, have fun with yarn in a relaxing environment, and make a stunning wall hanging to take home with you. 

Amber Hessell runs Tuftingaround. She loves all things colour and texture and most importantly creating and teaching rug tufting and punch needle. Amber graduated from Huddersfield university in 2022 where she studied textiles and specialised in rug tufting. She has a little home studio in Sheffield and stocks some lovely independent shops with her own creations.
