Off the Shelf Festival: Black Women Writers - Dorothy Koomson and Kit de Waal in conversation with Christina Fonthes

Bestselling, award winning authors Dorothy Koomson and Kit de Waal discuss their paths to publication, what it’s like to be Black women writers, and offer advice for new writers.  

 

Dorothy Koomson’s 21 books include My Best Friend's Girl, The Ice Cream Girls and Every Smile You Fake. She featured on the 2021 Powerlist as one of the most influential Black people in Britain. Kit de Waal’s books include My Name is Leon and her memoir Without Warning and Only Sometimes. She is editor of the Common People anthology.
