Curator Tour: Sharing People’s Stories at Kelham Island Museum

Tue 22 October 2024 , 1pm-1:45pm

Kelham Island Museum

Join our Community Curator, Cheryl Bowen and Curator of Industry and Metalwork, Emma Paragreen for an overview of the latest displays at Kelham Island Museum.

Cheryl and Emma will share insights into the development of the displays at Kelham Island Museum. They’ll talk about their ongoing work to celebrate more diverse stories and voices in the museum, exploring issues of decolonisation for the collection, and examining Sheffield’s wider global connections.

You’ll find out more about the main themes of the displays; Global Connections, Women in Industry and Steel Stories, whilst learning about highlights of objects on display, and get a special insight into how the displays came together.

The recent redisplays at Kelham Island Museum were supported by DCMS Wolfson Foundation.
