A photograph showing the corner of an exhibition. There are ten different portraits on the walls. A large one on the left of the image shows a woman relaxing in a sunlit window. Another shows a woman in a blue dress dramatically submerged in water. There is a rack of 3D glasses on the left of the wall, and barriers visible at the bottom of the walls. Curator Tour: ArtWorks Together International 2026

Tue 12 May 2026 , 1pm-1:45pm

Millennium Gallery

Join Festival Producer, Gemma Woffinden in the gallery to hear all about the stories behind the artworks in this international open call exhibition.

ArtWorks Together is an international festival offering adult artists who have a learning disability, are autistic or both, the opportunity to showcase their talents to the entire world, gaining the recognition they deserve.

The festival exhibition consists of more than 70 artworks and celebrates colour and innovation, and amplifies contemporary social, political, environmental and cultural themes, while challenging assumptions about the lived experiences of artists who have a learning disability, are autistic or both.

This unique collection of paintings, photography, sculptures, mixed media and film showcases artwork from South Yorkshire to South Asia, North Yorkshire to North America and beyond.

ArtWorks Together Festival aims to galvanise change within the arts and celebrate artists, who are currently significantly underrepresented in the sector – find out more here.

Everything we do is made possible by you – please donate £5 to help us showcase homegrown creativity and ensure that everyone can enjoy the best in art and design here, on their doorstep.
