Cultural Adventures: South Asian Heritage Month

Join Sunrit Culture Group as we celebrate South Asian Heritage Month with a variety of hands-on activities as we learn about saris, spices and ghazals. 

Activities include: 

• A Sari Spectacle Workshop: learn how to drape your traditional sari using beautiful 6 yd cloth. 
• A Soupçon of Spices: see, learn and talk about South Asian spices and pick up some to take away. 
• Ghazals Galore: well-known poet Debjani Chatterjee will share her translations of ghazals, a form of poetry expressing spiritual or romantic love,  as well as her own ghazals in English.
