Art at Abbeydale

Sun 18 August 2024 , 1:30pm-3:30pm

Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet

Join us outdoors in the beautiful surroundings of Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet for an afternoon of sketching and painting ‘en plein air’.

Alongside a likeminded group, you’ll artistically explore a selection of outdoor views around this picturesque, historic site, with feedback and support from one of our regular tutors.

Each week is a standalone session suitable for participants with any level of experience, whether you’re a budding beginner, a frequent urban sketcher, or an indoor painter wanting to move outdoors.

There will be a small selection of basic materials and paper, though you may prefer to bring your own, particularly your own sketchbook and preferred media. Materials available will include drawing pencils, inks, pencil crayons, charcoal, pastels and basic watercolours.

Please dress for the weather. In wet weather, we'll move into the indoor spaces in the hamlet, such as the forge or the learning centre.
