Why is there a display of toys in the museum? How was each toy chosen?

Children will explore ideas about the age, use, materials and manufacture of the toys through play and speaking and listening activities, before curating their own display case of toys from the handling collection.

Using clay, the children will make their own historical toy to take back to school.
