What is a portrait? How do you draw a portrait? Why is portraiture important? How do artists explore identity through art?

Your class will investigate these questions through Sheffield's visual art collection, using works of mixed media from a diverse range of artists. They will experiment with different ways of using portraiture to explore their own individual and group identity.

Please bring sketchbooks if you have them.
