Chris Ellis, who began saw-making when he was 16, talks us through the process of making a hand saw and his personal experiences of working in the industry, including being the third generation of his family to work at the firm - his grandfather, Frank Ellis, was an apprentice to Thomas Flinn, who started the company in 1923.
Thomas Flinn & Co have been producing saws and hand tools in their Sheffield factories since 1923. Their craftsman produce an extensive range of saws under famous traditional brands that have origins in the 18th century.
