Sheffield Stories: Sheffield in the 1950s, 60s & 70s

Thu 20 May 2021 - Sun 14 April 2024

Weston Park Museum

Sheffield Stories celebrates the very best thing about our fantastic city – its people.

This first exhibition in the gallery looked at life in the city during the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Exploring our home lives, neighbourhoods and the events and experiences we’ve lived through together, the displays were developed in partnership with residents in the South East of the city.

Visitors could discover fashion, photographs, toys and mementos from the period, hear stories and memories from Sheffield people, play vintage board games and relax in our retro-style front room.

This exhibition is now closed
