As the Gathering Landscapes exhibition draws to a close, join us for a special farewell performance.
The final day of Gathering Landscapes is a moment of both joy and sorrow: in order for new connections to be formed, this particular landscape must fragment. The images and artefacts brought together from across Sheffield’s collections and curated by Heavy Water Collective will soon be separated, never to be seen in this arrangement again.
Visual artist and performer Nicola Dale will spend the day bidding farewell to each and every item in the exhibition. Sometimes this will require words, sometimes actions and sometimes still, quiet contemplation. The task is arduous but important, presenting one final opportunity to feel this particular landscape’s ebb and flow and our place and role within it.
This will be a continuous performance event, including opportunities for participation – there is no need to book, simply drop in on the day.
