Weston Park Museum

Unearth the remarkable stories behind the stars of the city’s collection in the museum's archaeology gallery.

 

In Beneath Your Feet you can dig deep into 50,000 years of Sheffield history through over 500 objects. You’ll discover fearsome Anglo-Saxon weapons and hidden Roman treasure, and find out more about the incredible archaeological finds made in the region through a series of films and interactives.

Younger visitors can imagine life in the past in our replica Iron Age roundhouse, complete with real thatched roof, and try out our range of dressing up costumes.

Beneath Your Feet has been supported by a major grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Tue–Sat 10am–4pm | Sun 11am–4pm

There will be a special opening of the museum on Mon 23 Dec, 10am-4pm

***The museum will close for the festive season at 3pm on Tue 24 Dec and reopen on Thu 2 Jan***
