Selected Space: Hand Building Pottery – Make a Medieval Plate with Evelyn Albrow

Wed 11 June 2025 , 6pm-8:30pm

Millennium Gallery

Learn how to make and decorate your own plate using medieval imagery as inspiration in this special evening workshop.

Using crank stoneware clay, slip and underglaze, you will slab build a plate and decorate it yourself. After the workshop your plate will go on to Evelyn’s studio to be fired for you – we'll then be in touch when it’s ready to collect and take home.

This workshop is in collaboration with Sheffield’s Selected Space market, curated by makers at Yorkshire Artspace, taking place at Persistence Works 11-13 July 2025. Over 3 days you can browse and purchase beautiful items, all crafted by artists and makers from across the region. Find out more at Selected Space
