Discover a new perspective on Sheffield in Weston Park Museum's art gallery, packed with local scenes and views of the city from the past 250 years.
The Picturing Sheffield displays in the museum's Gordon Bridge Gallery are a real celebration of the city, featuring over 60 works presented in the immersive style of a traditional Victorian gallery. The new displays reflect the changing face of Sheffield, from its industrial origins and lost landmarks right through to the familiar views we recognise today.
See work by Godfrey Sykes, Stanley Royle, John Hoyland, Pete McKee, Emilie Taylor, Jo Peel and many more, as well as visitor favourites including John Singer Sargent’s much-loved The Misses Vickers.
You’ll find out more about the works on show through a series of films and audio interactives, as well as have the chance to draw your own images of the city to add to the new displays.
