Join us and the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University as they return with their popular exploration of science and art. This year, we’ll be taking inspiration from latest display in The Ruskin Collection, Storm-Cloud – The Look of the Sky, and also welcome special guests, Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust.
On the night, you’ll discover the science behind how clouds form and how the city’s air impacts our health. You’ll take a journey along the River Sheaf, exploring its history and alternative futures as it runs through our city. From hands-on demonstrations to interactive talks to immersive workshops, experience the thrill of exploration and discover how the natural world is intertwined with our own experiences.
Whether you're a seasoned scientist or a curious novice, don't miss this unique opportunity to explore our changing world through a reimagining of Ruskin’s artistic and scientific observations of our sky and climate.
Reserve your spot today to connect with experts and enthusiasts passionate about the intersection of science, nature, and art.
Sheffield Museums Lates are a night out with a difference. These after-hours special events are a place where adults can explore, enjoy, and be entertained. Lates span a wide range of themes and topics, bringing together activities, talks, workshops, and a pay bar. Try something new, have fun, and experience an alternative night out at the museum.
The event is for age 18+
