Discover British Sign Language Tour: Signs of the Caribbean

Sat 1 November 2025 , 12pm-1pm

Weston Park Museum

Discover British Sign Language (BSL) and learn some new vocabulary at Weston Park Museum.

Join Martin Glover, a Deaf BSL user, architect and art facilitator in the Sheffield Stories: Caribbean Footsteps exhibition at the museum and use this to explore British Sign Language. You'll learn some words in BSL and understand more about how the Deaf community experience and talk about art.

The event will be supported by an interpreter.

Please note that there will be a second event in the afternoon – a tour of the exhibition delivered wholly in BSL. If you would like to book onto that, please click here.

Suggested donation £5 – Please donate if you're able and help keep your museums open and available for everyone to enjoy.
