We build positive relationships with local people, community groups and organisations to tell stories of Sheffield together.

Our collaborative programme of community displays and events explores history, heritage and culture in the city and beyond. We work with our communities to develop projects and activities that support health and wellbeing, help tackle social isolation and celebrate Sheffield and its people.

We’d love to hear from you – you can find out how to get in touch at the bottom of the page.

Caribbean Footsteps

Caribbean Footsteps is a new exhibition at Weston Park Museum that opened in spring 2024. Led and shaped by a group of Co-Curators, it reflects the lives and experiences of African Caribbean people in the city and their contribution to life in Sheffield .

Welcome Sessions

We offer free Welcome Sessions for community groups with members from underrepresented backgrounds. These informal tours are a friendly welcome to any of the sites, particularly for those who have never visited before or face barriers to visiting. We will adapt to the needs of the group, sharing interesting information about the displays or simply showing the group around and having a chat if preferred.

To find out more information and see if your group is eligible, please email events@sheffieldmuseums.org.uk
